As recommended in level 3, gypsum board shall be coated with a drywall primer before applying final finishes. Gloss, semi-gloss and enamel paints should not be applied to a level 4 finish surface. How To Apply Gyprock Final Finish
26/05/2009 · For finish coats 2 coats of low sheen will see you through nicely. For finish coats I personally recommend Taubmans Duraclean over any other paint product. Dulux 101 is a nice product but Duraclean leaves it for dead in every area from application to durability/washability and appearance.

- Gyprock™ Final Finish is specially formulated as a topping compound for hand and machine finishing joints and angles of plasterboard or fibre cement. Use Gyprock™ Final Finish as a topping coat only and not for bedding tapes and second coats.
- To cover dark colours with a minimum of fuss, undercoats can provide better hiding power than applying extra coats of the final finish. Apply one coat of Dulux 1 Step Primer Sealer Undercoat to cover dark colours. If you are painting with some light colours, a tinted undercoat will also improve the covering power. The requirement for a tinted undercoat will be identified when tinting the top
